Two of my fandoms collide, again
Nov. 12th, 2023 01:22 pmI wrote "I've been waiting all century to hear the music from Princess Mononoke on a football field" in Studio Ghibli film music show. My first opportunity was in 2004, but only saw it yesterday. It's probably because it was uploaded in 2016, after I had stopped looking for the show on YouTube. Watching the show in November 8th's post made me search for it again.
I went in a direction that didn't need this video in 'The Klingon Hamlet' and Klingons quoting Shakespeare for Talk Like Shakespeare Day.
I picked up the following images off the cutting room floor of 'The Walking Dead' vs. 'Chucky' for Best Horror Television Series: Network/Cable at the Saturn Awards.

Two groups on MeWe I'm active in
Dec. 4th, 2020 01:47 pmHere are two fan groups I participate in that I would like more people to join: Love Disney and Warrior: Fellowship of the Ring. In particular, I want more MeWe users in the Disney group. Right now, it's me and the group owner who are active, which makes me think it's only the two of us in the group. Since groups on MeWe need five members to be seen in search results, that means other people aren't finding the group that way. Help me get it to five!

I'm running a Sith Warrior right now and I have the most interesting set of companions. I really like Malavai Quinn, but he has the most issues with other companions I have seen in the game so far. Has anyone else playing ST:TOR noticed this?

'The Librarians' cancelled
Mar. 12th, 2018 10:02 amI found out yesterday that one of my favorite shows, "The Librarians," was cancelled by TNT after four seasons. On the one hand, I'm disappointed, as I enjoy the show. In particular, I'm a fan of Lindy Booth as Cassandra. On the other, I'm not surprised, as it reached a natural resolution. That's the bad news. The good news is that the series isn't dead yet, as it could end up on SyFy or Hulu. I'm crossing my fingers.
Today's entry at Crazy Eddie's Motie News is 'Get Out,' 'Logan,' and 'The Shape of Water' among nominees for the Ray Bradbury Award for Outstanding Dramatic Presentation. I used the following blurb to promote it on social media: "In addition to 'Get Out,' 'Logan,' and 'The Shape of Water,' 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi,' 'Wonder Woman,' and 'The Good Place' were nominated for the Ray Bradbury Award, one of the Nebula Awards." What I didn't use was the following video, The Good Place Season 1 Review - Nebula Flavor Ep1, although I did use the preview image.
I left the following comment at the video on Youtube: "In an amazing case of serendipity, one week after you uploaded this episode, 'The Good Place' was nominated for a Nebula Award, the Ray Bradbury Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, given out by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. Nebula flavor, indeed!"

When I wrote Speculative fiction nominees galore at the Makeup and Hair Stylists Guild Awards at Crazy Eddie's Motie News, I noticed she had a video with two nominations, Swish Swish. Here it is.
She has a third video that was nominated for an Art Directors Guild award. It lost to "Star Wars: Battlefront II." Just the same, the record company's spending large sums of money on her videos shows and is being rewarded by the professionals. It's also making me more of a Katy Perry fan.
